Hello to all
Today we are talking about elves.
Description: Tall, noble and slender, elves have lived on this world for a very long time. Their long life (more than 700 years), makes them perceive events differently from humans. Elves tend to judge a situation in its global balance, according to its long-term repercussions on people and nature. Thus, they may appear imperturbable, even arrogant in front of minor incidents.
Elves like to live freely in synergy with nature, in small isolated kingdoms, far from the turmoil of large human cities. Elves have no interest in material possessions, preferring art, music, and spiritual escape. Elves are curious creatures by nature but have learned to be wary of other races until they have proven their worth.
Preferred alignment: Cahotic Good. The elves' desire for freedom keeps them away from the structured and hierarchical aspects of human or dwarven societies. Not very greedy, they appreciate and protect all forms of life.
Preferred class: warrior, mage, (and all the existing secondary classes, archer, ranger, mage-warrior,...).
Thief: it is not in the nature of elves to stoop to theft. If lust exists among elves, it is expressed more in sentimental passions than in material possessions. An elf thief or warrior-thief could be justified in a scout or spy background.
Cleric: although there are elven gods, they have nothing to do with human gods. Good and evil are not expressed in the same way among the elves. An elven cleric would be more like a druid or a believing magician.
Elven racial traits:
- Darkvision, +4 against charms and bewitchments. Immune to magical sleep
- Vigor -1, Dexterite +1
- Armors: Elves can only wear light or intermediate armors (chain mail max), whatever their class. An elf wizard cannot wear armor, an elf warrior will be limited to chain mail.
- Movement: +1 square
