I introduce you to a "tool-assisted" solo roleplaying game Dragonbones Sandbox & Dungeon crawl. In the previous post, I presented you Dragonbones, a Dungeons and Dragons hack.The system fits on a sheet of paper and pushes the minimalism of the game to the extreme.

While keeping the same basics, it seemed to me that we could extend the support to create a really complete solo gaming experience.

It's all there, maybe like the Lunchbox I imagined a long time ago:

A look inside 

Dragonbones is a light role-playing game inspired by the fantasy gaming of the 70s. Its mechanisms are very simple and allow compatibility with all versions of SRD (BECMI, 2e, 3.5, 5e...). Designed for single-player rpg, its streamlined mechanics can suit any DM who wants to play fast games.

 

Narrative AND Dungeon crawl

Have you ever imagined a role-playing game that combines narrative and old-school dungeon crawl? All in one package?

The Sandbox & Dungeon crawl version is specially designed to offer the solo player this experience. Inside you will find three things:

• a complete light rules system
• an evolving background (with or without characters)
